One of my last projects as I transitioned from Creative Director to a consultant role for Blake's Hard Cider Co. was the design and development of a new website. If you are not familiar with this brand, you will be soon. They are rapidly expanding throughout the United States and winning accolades constantly.

To keep up with their impressive growth they needed a new website that could not just keep up but be robust enough with features and flexibility to scale with them as needed. The launch of the new website was done in tandem with the launch of a brand new series of hard ciders this past January.

Making the website finally match the quality of the package design and product.

I have been involved with the branding of this company since it's inception, with the creation of the logo and packaging being a freelance project while I was still working at McCann. This intimate knowledge of the progression of the brand and website gave me an extensive set of knowledge which informed every aspect of this new website launch. About 80% of the users coming to the website are visiting on their phones which made displaying the content beautifully on a phone a huge focus.

With such a large portfolio of products and a variety of different series of ciders featuring vibrant package design, unifying these products, but distinguishing their ingredients at the same time was done by creating custom icons that animate as the user scrolls which brings visual attention to this important detail for each product.
